Higher rights of audience training providers

Under Regulation 9.10 of the SRA Authorisation of Individuals Regulations, a solicitor or Registered European lawyer who wishes to exercise rights of audience in the higher courts must satisfactorily complete the appropriate higher courts advocacy qualification. From the 1 October 2025, we have authorised the University of Law to be the sole assessments provider for the civil and criminal Higher Rights of Audience qualifications.

We do not prescribe how solicitors prepare for the HRA assessments and we do not authorise organisations providing preparatory training.

We do not accredit or endorse organisations providing HRA training or study materials. We also have no role in approving, endorsing, or overseeing the training courses, or materials, or their quality.

The information in this list has been provided by the organisation and has not been reviewed by us for accuracy. We accept no responsibility for the information provided, the quality of the training, or your performance in the HRA assessment because of the service provided by a training provider or organisation included in this list.
